About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CDP Product Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a Composable Customer Data Platform for a major enterprise retail client. In this embedded role, you will act as the product owner responsible for the delivery roadmap, stakeholder alignment, and ensuring the composable CDP architecture drives real business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own the composable CDP product roadmap from discovery through go-live and post-launch optimization
  • Define the composable architecture approach, coordinating data ingestion layers, warehouse-native segmentation (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), and downstream activation integrations
  • Write clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria that bridge business requirements with engineering execution
  • Facilitate discovery and requirements sessions with client business and technology stakeholders
  • Partner with data engineering, identity resolution, and martech teams on architecture decisions
  • Define requirements for customer 360 profiles, unified identity graphs, audience segmentation, and data activation workflows
  • Manage the implementation backlog, sprint planning, and release coordination using Agile methodologies
  • Present roadmap updates, architecture decisions, and status to client executive stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve blockers across business, technology, legal, and data governance workstreams
  • Establish and track KPIs for CDP adoption, data quality, identity match rates, and downstream marketing impact
Composable CDP Platform Knowledge

Candidates should have hands-on experience with composable or modular CDP approaches, which may include:

  • Cloud data warehouse-native CDPs
  • Composable CDP tools such as Hightouch or Growthloop
  • Identity resolution platforms (e.g., Amperity, LiveRamp)
  • Segment (Unify / Twilio Data), mParticle, or Adobe Real-Time CDP (Federated Audience Composition)
  • Headless activation and API-first CDP architectures
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years directly supporting a CDP or composable data platform implementation
  • Deep understanding of composable CDP architecture: separation of ingestion, storage, identity, segmentation, and activation
  • Proven ability to write high-quality user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for data and martech products
  • Experience building and maintaining product roadmaps in fast-moving, client-facing environments
  • Retail industry background - omnichannel customer journeys, POS data, loyalty programs, and e-commerce data ecosystems
  • Expertise in customer 360 data modeling: unified profiles, identity graph construction, and cross-channel data unification
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to VP and C-suite audiences
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery frameworks as a practicing product owner
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with identity resolution strategies: deterministic vs. probabilistic matching, household graphs, and first-party identity programs
  • Knowledge of retail data structures including POS transactions, loyalty IDs, SKU-level data, and store data
  • Hands-on knowledge of reverse ETL pipelines and warehouse-native segment activation
  • Experience integrating CDP with downstream channels: email ESPs, paid media, on-site personalization, and retail media networks
  • Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) as they relate to CDP consent management and data governance
  • Experience in a consulting, systems integrator, or agency delivery model embedded alongside a client team
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and Lucidchart
