STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an ERP Project Manager (HCM) on behalf of our client in Columbus, OH. This role requires a seasoned professional to lead and manage enterprise HR/Payroll systems, serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and managed services teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ERP project delivery, particularly within Human Capital Management (HCM) environments, along with the ability to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Stakeholder & Service Management
  • Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and service delivery teams
  • Align business priorities with HR/Payroll system capabilities
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system enhancements
  • Oversee requirements gathering, documentation, and change management processes
  • Provide regular system status updates and communicate critical operational events
  • Lead capacity planning and manage project pipeline effectively
  • Act as escalation point for high-priority system issues
Operations & Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for daily operations and issue resolution
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and service delivery
  • Collaborate with business, security, and technical stakeholders
Project Management
  • Manage multiple HR/Payroll-related projects simultaneously
  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables
  • Provide regular status reporting to leadership
  • Oversee project financials and vendor deliverables
  • Review and approve estimates, schedules, and technical solutions
  • Develop and enforce project governance, policies, and procedures
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support administrative and operational initiatives as needed
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and strategic programs
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of ERP Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, including:
    • HR, Benefits Administration
    • Payroll & Compensation
    • Time Management
    • Job Data & Position Management
    • Employee Self-Service and Reporting
  • Experience working in application management or outsourced environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in complex organizations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos)
  • Experience with document management systems (e.g., OnBase)
  • Familiarity with talent management or learning systems
  • Experience in public sector environments
  • Exposure to large system integrators
  • Experience with system upgrades, patches, or enhancements
  • Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • PMP Certification
  • ERP or PeopleSoft Certification
  • ITIL Certification
