Summary

Overview

The System Administrator (SA) provides quality support to Heart Center and Cardiovascular service line users with high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. The SA helps in resolving telephone, wiring, hardware, application, or system issues. The SA is also responsible for assisting with coordination of IT support work orders and projects. The SA is responsible for effective training, support of network clients, hospital employees, connected HH affiliates, and others dependent on network training service. Responsible for daily system and network maintenance and monitoring. Troubleshooting of system and network equipment including hardware, software, and peripherals. Establish and maintain network users, user environments and user related security rights. Creates and maintains system documentation. Additional responsibility will include assisting managing, Cerner Support, including but not limited to troubleshooting, upgrading and managing 3rd party products.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to travel to off-site locations.
  • Proficient in computer operating systems: Microsoft Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022; Windows 10/11, and Microsoft Office 2010/2016/2019.
  • Knowledge .NET scripting, and Power Shell.
  • Knowledge of SR (Structured Reporting) design and building.
  • Analytical, organized and able to effectively manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Will developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgement.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to research and find solutions to IT issues.
  • MCP, CCNA, PACS Cert preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two year degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science but will accept equivalent experience.
  • Valid drivers license and automobile insurance as per policy
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in network computer environment, preferably in healthcare.
