We are seeking a Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to support the modernization of digital forms and client-facing applications. This role will focus on designing and building Adaptive Web Forms using AEM Forms, while also contributing to the evolution of development pipelines and delivery processes.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AEM, strong ownership of end-to-end form lifecycle development, and experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Adaptive Web Forms using AEM Forms and core components
- Own and manage the full form lifecycle, including UI development, submission processing, backend integration, and Document of Record (DoR) generation
- Define and implement APIs to support form submissions and enterprise integrations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and overall system performance
- Develop custom functionality using JavaScript and AEM tools such as Rule Editor, Theme Editor, and Forms Data Model (FDM)
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for platform issues, including SAML authentication, OSGi bundles, and Dispatcher configurations
- Lead and support code upgrades, core component updates, and package-based deployments
- Work with AEM Dispatcher in forms-centric environments
- Implement and support automated testing strategies for Adaptive Forms
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging workflows
- Establish and promote best practices for AI-assisted development, including prompt engineering, structured specifications, and reusable workflows
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, or Bitbucket
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions where needed
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (on-premise environments)
- Strong hands-on experience with AEM Forms and Adaptive Web Forms, preferably in headless or component-based architectures
- Proven experience with:
- Rule Editor, Theme Editor, and Forms Data Model (FDM)
- Custom JavaScript development
- End-to-end form lifecycle implementation
- Deep understanding of core AEM concepts, including API development and integrations
- Strong front-end development expertise (HTML, JSP, JavaScript, NPM, Webpack builds)
- Experience with code promotion, upgrades, core component management, and deployments
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAML, OSGi, and Dispatcher
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) across SDLC activities
- Familiarity with modern development practices such as spec-driven development, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless content delivery architectures
- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, and TypeScript
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap
- Experience working with web/application servers (e.g., JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Apache)
- Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems (WCMS)
- Experience implementing automated testing for forms and front-end applications
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with agentic workflows and AI-driven engineering practices
- Ability to translate low-level design artifacts (e.g., API contracts, data models) into structured specifications for AI-assisted development
- Experience leading or influencing development standards and best practices across teams
