Role: Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: 12 Months

Job Responsibilities:

  • 10 years of experience with the IT Workflows family and the Now Platform.
    • Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM.
    • Advanced skills in platform configuration, custom scripting, and workflow design.
    • Strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, integrations, and data governance.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and migrate legacy data into ServiceNow.
    • Capable of working independently as a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME).
    • Working knowledge of ITIL and service management frameworks.
    • Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD).
    • Experience in large enterprise, government, or public sector environments is a plus.
  • Platform Configuration: Administer and enhance ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM modules. Build and maintain catalog items, workflows, scripts, and policies in line with organizational governance.
  • Development & Integration: Develop scoped apps, automations, and external integrations—specifically using the ServiceNow API for Jama—leveraging JavaScript, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex platform, workflow, and performance issues. Manage platform upgrades, patching, and root-cause analysis.
  • Data Migration & CMDB: Execute end-to-end data migrations from legacy systems. Maintain CMDB health, data quality, reconciliation rules, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
  • Collaboration & Optimization: Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in project planning and provide knowledge transfer and training to internal staff. Partner with stakeholders to refine processes and recommend automation opportunities based on ITIL best practices. Maintain clear technical and architectural documentation.
