Senior Data Operations Engineer
Location : Remote
Duration : Long Term
To support production data pipelines for US healthcare quality reporting and analytics.
The role will act as the Onshore technical point of contact for Offshore data engineering/operations teams, ensuring reliable pipeline execution, data quality, and timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, run, restart, and troubleshoot production data pipelines and ETL/ELT jobs.
- Manage AWS S3 file transfers, storage, permissions, and data validation.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and data quality checks.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform RCA.
- Coordinate daily activities and handoffs with Offshore teams.
- Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Support healthcare quality reporting, including HEDIS, Medicare Advantage, Star Ratings, and CMS measures.
- Identify and implement operational process improvements.
Required Skills
- 5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Operations, or Production Data Support.
- Strong SQL, Python/PySpark, AWS S3, and ETL/orchestration experience.
- Experience with Spark, Airflow/Control-M/Step Functions, and Redshift.
- Strong production troubleshooting and data reconciliation skills.
- Experience working with distributed/Offshore teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred: Healthcare payer/Medicare Advantage experience, HEDIS/Star Ratings, HIPAA, Git, Docker, Databricks, FHIR/HL7/CCDA.
