Summary

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Confluent Kafka Architect to support enterprise-level Confluent Platform environments for a major financial services client. The ideal candidate will play a key advisory role in assessing platform health, reviewing cluster configurations, and providing architectural guidance to improve performance, scalability, and resilience.

This role requires deep expertise in Confluent Platform, Kafka architecture, and Multi-Region Clusters (MRC) within large-scale distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete and validate 19 Confluent Platform Health Checks across the customer's CP environments
Perform deep technical assessments of Confluent Platform deployments
Evaluate and optimize Multi-Region Clusters (MRC) architecture and configurations
Identify platform issues, risks, and opportunities for optimization
Provide architectural recommendations and best practices for Confluent Platform implementations
Review and improve cluster configuration, scalability, performance, and resilience
Analyze replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies within MRC environments
Conduct configuration reviews, security assessments, and operational evaluations
Work with engineering teams to ensure optimal Kafka cluster performance and reliability

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform
Expertise in Kafka architecture and cluster design
Experience with Multi-Region Clusters (MRC)
Strong understanding of replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies
Experience with Kafka performance tuning and cluster optimization
Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
