We are looking for a Production Repair Technician for our client in Longueuil, QC

Job Title: Production Repair Technician

Job Location: Longueuil, QC

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testing.
Proficiency in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole).
Experience performing failure analysis and documenting findings.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach.
Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).

Experience:

Experience handling RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) units and failure analysis.
Experience working within quality management systems.
Experience following SOPs, ESD protocols, and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

Receive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claims.
Perform troubleshooting and functionality testing using multiple test stations.
Diagnose and repair PCBs using soldering and rework techniques, including component-level replacement.
Operate mechanical tools such as hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipment.
Maintain accurate records in quality management systems.
Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocols.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Should Have:

IPC-7711/7721 certification (preferred).
Knowledge of IPC Class 2 and IPC-A-610 standards.
Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
Background in battery management systems, consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardware.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
