Summary

We are looking for a Production Repair Technician for our client in Longueuil, QC
Job Title: Production Repair Technician

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testing.
  • Proficiency in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole).
  • Experience performing failure analysis and documenting findings.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach.
  • Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).

Experience:

  • Experience handling RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) units and failure analysis.
  • Experience working within quality management systems.
  • Experience following SOPs, ESD protocols, and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claims.
  • Perform troubleshooting and functionality testing using multiple test stations.
  • Diagnose and repair PCBs using soldering and rework techniques, including component-level replacement.
  • Operate mechanical tools such as hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records in quality management systems.
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Should Have:

  • IPC-7711/7721 certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of IPC Class 2 and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Background in battery management systems, consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardware.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
