Desktop Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is looking for a Desktop Technician in the SLC are for a fully onsite position.

Summary:
This position requires access to export controlled technical data. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technical data prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Responsibilities:
* Support and maintain computer systems and software to ensure appropriate confidentiality and privacy of sensitive data
* Support and maintain the application of system upgrades and security configurations
* Support and maintain standard operating and troubleshooting procedures
* Build and deploy end-user computer systems, as well as conduct new hire orientation for new employees
* Install, modify, clean and repair monitors, keyboards, mice, computers, printers and other peripherals
* Troubleshoot problems and provide technical support for software and hardware
* Field telephone calls and e-mail messages from customers who are seeking guidance on technical problems
* Leads projects and assigned teams related to assigned duties
* Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* A+, Security+, and/or similar certifications
* 3+ years of experience with end-user computer hardware, software, peripherals, including multiple operating systems, topologies, and protocols
* Strong experience supporting MS Windows & macOS (Linux experience a plus)
* Experience working with RMM and MDM tools (e.g., NinjaRMM, Intune, JAMF, etc.)
* Working understanding of network technologies and protocols
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Thorough understanding of end-user computer hardware/software and peripherals
* Strong experience supporting MS Windows & macOS (Linux experience a plus)
* Experience working with RMM and MDM tools (e.g., NinjaRMM, Intune, JAMF, etc.)
* Working understanding of network technologies and protocols
* Working knowledge of desktop Cyber Security concepts and techniques
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
