Wi-Fi Test Engineer

Introduction:

As a Wi-Fi Test Engineer at Droisys in Philadelphia, PA, you will be responsible for performing end-to-end user experience testing of gateways, Wi-Fi extenders, and home networking devices. You will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure the functionality, performance, and interoperability of wireless technologies. This role requires a strong background in broadband, wireless communication, and computer hardware.

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end user experience testing of gateways, Wi-Fi extenders, and home networking devices.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Validate Wi-Fi technologies including IEEE 802.11 standards, mesh networking, band steering, and wireless backhaul.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues across end-to-end Wi-Fi connections.
• Work with protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP, and other connectivity standards.
• Drive automation strategy, improve test processes, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, product, and architecture teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Conduct root cause analysis, identify quality gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and shape test strategy at a product/feature level.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, debugging, and documentation skills.
