Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Philadelphia, PA. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA professional with strong experience in Java middleware testing, Python scripting, automation, and API validation within an Agile/Scrum environment.

The selected candidate will lead test planning, execution, and quality assurance efforts for software and middleware applications while ensuring high-quality releases and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute formal test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
Lead end-to-end test execution for Java middleware and software applications
Track and report QA metrics including defects, test results, and overall test status
Troubleshoot issues, document findings, and collaborate with teams for resolution
Perform quality audits across IT functions and support continuous process improvement
Deliver QA training and act as an internal quality consultant
Work closely with developers, business teams, and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum setup

Required Skills

5–8 years of experience in QA Testing
Strong experience in Java QA Testing (Required)
3+ years of hands-on experience in Python scripting (Required)
Strong background in Automated Testing (Must Have)
Experience with:
- REST APIs
- JSON
- Jenkins
- Splunk
- Swagger
- API Testing
Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar test management tools
3+ years of Windows-based QA experience in an Agile / Scrum environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to Have

Experience with Media Planning / Buying workflows
Additional scripting experience in:
- JavaScript
- C#
- VBScript
