We are seeking an SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Consultant to support finance and controlling processes within a regional organization. This role is responsible for end-to-end functional design, configuration, and support of SAP FI and CO modules aligned to business requirements. The consultant applies SAP Activate methodology to drive fit-gap analysis, functional specifications, and testing across implementation and enhancement initiatives. The role is critical in ensuring accurate financial processing, system integrity, and continuous improvement of integrated finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and document finance and controlling processes and identify optimization opportunities using SAP best practices
Gather, validate, and prioritize FI/CO functional requirements with business stakeholders
Configure SAP S/4HANA FI and CO modules based on functional specifications and SAP Activate methodology
Perform fit-gap analysis and develop functional designs supporting end-to-end finance processes
Create functional specifications for RICEFW objects and collaborate with technical development teams
Support integration testing across FI/CO and related modules such as MM and SD
Execute unit testing, coordinate UAT, and manage defect resolution through structured testing cycles
Provide post-go-live support including incident management, root cause analysis, and enhancements
Maintain documentation for configurations, process flows, and functional designs in compliance with ITIL standards
Deliver end-user training and develop supporting training materials
Support release management, transport coordination, and change control processes
Collaborate with COE, PMO, and technical teams on project execution and governance
Monitor SAP roadmap updates and recommend finance-related improvements
Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and data integrity standards

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3+ years of SAP FICO functional experience in configuration and support
Strong understanding of FI and CO business processes
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and familiarity with SAP Fiori applications
Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications
Experience documenting functional designs and test scripts

Special Requirements:
SAP Activate methodology experience required
ITIL service management experience preferred
SAP FICO certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong SAP FI/CO configuration skills including GL, AP, AR, asset accounting, and cost controlling
Understanding of financial reporting and month-end close processes
Knowledge of integration points with SAP SD, MM, and other modules
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM is a plus

Additional Desired Characteristics:
Experience supporting SAP implementations or global rollouts
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environments preferred
Strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
