We are looking for Senior Linux System Administrator for our client in Raleigh, NC

Job Title: Senior Linux System Administrator

Job Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux systems across development, staging, and production environments.
Ensures system reliability, security, and performance while supporting automation, deployment, and operational excellence.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
Proficiency in shell scripting using Bash or Python.
Experience with user management, RBAC, and access control policies.
Knowledge of system patching, upgrades, and package management.
Understanding of system hardening and security best practices.
Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience:

Experience managing Linux environments across multiple stages.
Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts.
Experience supporting backup and recovery processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers across development, staging, and production environments.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational processes.
Handle user access, permissions, and security configurations.
Perform system patching, upgrades, and package installations.
Implement system hardening and least privilege security practices.
Support and maintain backup and recovery processes.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support deployments and ensure system stability.
Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and procedures.

Should Have:

Experience with cloud storage services and infrastructure automation tools.

Skills:

Linux system administration.
Automation and scripting.
System security and access control.
Performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
