Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ who is seeking a Distribution Ops Center Supervisor. This leading utility organization is seeking a Distribution Operations Center Supervisor to direct a team of system operators responsible for planned and emergency distribution switching, including the issuance of clearances, tags, and operational documentation. This role provides day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and accountability for safe and efficient operations that support system reliability, productivity, and customer service. The Distribution Ops Supervisor also provides leadership coverage during non-routine work hours and may direct on-site personnel during nights, weekends, and holidays when standard supervision is not present.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead daily DOC operations for system operators conducting planned and emergency switching to maintain reliable distribution operations
* Oversee the issuance and control of clearances, tags, and operating documentation to ensure safe execution of work and operational efficiency
* Supervise and coach a team of skilled employees (which may include both represented/union and non-represented professionals), promoting teamwork, development, fairness, and open communication
* Partner across operations and field organizations to support distribution system performance, reliability, and strong customer outcomes
* Provide leadership during after-hours/non-routine events, directing on-site personnel as needed in the absence of normal supervision
* Maintain a positive, accountable work environment aligned to department objectives and continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED or equivalent and a minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in utility distribution operations or equivalent utility experience
* Must be able to work rotating shifts on 24 hour basis
* Ability to observe work and remain alert while working under stress and adverse conditions for extended periods of time and at irregular hours

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
