Position Title: Lead ETL Developer ( SSIS)/ Database Engineer
Location: Berkley Heights (NJ), Alpharetta( Atlanta, GA), Lincoln.
Position Description:
Role Purpose & Context:
The Database Engineer, Advisory s role is strategically designed to implement large scale data migrations/ conversions solutions into Client s products using modern ETL tools. The associate will evaluate current conversion processes and architecture and consult with product owners and clients on identified gaps, target architecture, and high-level solutions blueprints. Additionally, the associate will be called upon to design and implement highly custom large scale database solutions that augment Fiserv s products. The associate will evaluate, database size and select technology components, such as software, hardware, and data storage systems, for database management systems and application databases across the organization.
Focusing more broadly on projects that impact multiple areas of Client s products, the associate will work and communicate directly with internal and external clients using both analytical skills and subject matter expertise in financial applications to gather requirements, design solutions and execute implementations.
The associate will function as an escalation point for go live events, troubleshooting, and resolution designs. The associate will directly participate in hiring process for new associate candidates and will be called on to manage project staffing allocations and work hour approvals. This role requires serving as a critical key player in the influence and development of reusable department-wise tools.
The associate will be required to respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- 8 -10+ years technical expertise in database and ETL development with Microsoft SQL Server technologies primarily T-SQL and SSIS
- Extensive development experience in analysis, modelling and design of database solutions
- Integration Services, ETL and BI tools
- Possess strong database fundamentals and experience in writing Unit test cases and test scenarios
- Technical understanding of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2008 through current version
- Application development understanding of Microsoft .NET technologies primarily Powershell scripting, ASP.NET and C#
- Technical understanding of the different phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including waterfall and agile methodologies
- Understanding and technical knowledge of cloud-based technologies
- Have a grasp of SQL Server High Availability Solutions including Always On, Database Mirroring and Log Shipping concepts.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; in large meeting settings and when presenting to large groups; in both technical and non-technical arenas
- Able to understand and convey technical issues to non-technical associates, and vice-versa.
- Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships across enterprise level lines
- Able to identify issues warranting escalation

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- About 15-20% Travel ( Domestic & International)
