Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience in test automation, software testing methodologies, and CI/CD practices, and collaborates closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Review requirements and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.
• Monitor test execution, analyze results, and prepare quality reports.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience testing cloud-based or microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
