Job Description
We are currently seeking a contract QA Automated Engineer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
Responsibilities
QA automation engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications.
- Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.
- Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems.
- Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather testing requirements and objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
8 years of:
- Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions automatically
- Experience in prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments
- Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and software development methodologies
- Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly
- Strong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functions
- Acquires knowledge of the Customer''s business in assigned area
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Able to work with Customer as needed during test cycle
- Excellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities
Preferred:
2 years of:
- Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates
- Familiarity with company''s information architecture and information management methodologies
- Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components
