Role Overview
Responsible for driving OS modernization strategy across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms for large-scale database hosting environments. Focus on platform standardization, cloud transformation, automation-led operations, and cost optimization to enable a highly efficient, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure landscape.
Technical Skills
- 10–15+ years of experience in OS / infrastructure architecture across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms
- Strong expertise in OS modernization strategy, including migration from legacy Unix to Linux / cloud-native environments
- Proven experience in cloud migration (AWS/Azure) and hybrid transformation (on-prem → cloud / multi-cloud)
- Deep understanding of platform standardization, golden image creation, and enterprise baselining practices
- Strong capability in automation and platform engineering (infrastructure as code, scripting, configuration management)
- Experience in large-scale OS estate transformation (consolidation, re-platforming, workload optimization)
- Expertise in cost optimization strategies (right-sizing, infra rationalization, cloud cost controls / FinOps awareness)
- Strong knowledge of virtualization and hybrid infrastructure (VMware, Hyper‑V, cloud VM constructs)
- Experience in security-aligned modernization (OS hardening, compliance integration during transformation)
- Ability to define and implement target operating models (standardized, automation-first OS platforms)
- Familiarity with monitoring, AIOps integration, and transformation towards zero-touch operations
The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $110,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
