Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer -AFS

Contract Duration- 12+ Months 

Onsite - New York 

Note - This is a W-2 position, and we welcome candidates requiring H-1B transfer sponsorship to apply. No third-party vendors.

The Client is  seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SAP AFS (Apparel and Footwear Solution). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications within the AFS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs within the SAP AFS environment.
• Develop and support custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and IDocs.
• Work with SAP AFS-specific functionalities, including article master data, size and color grids, grid processing, and apparel/footwear order management.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable ABAP solutions.
• Support integrations between SAP AFS and other SAP modules, including SD, MM, and FI/CO.
• Perform ABAP debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver enhancements and resolve application issues.
• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow SAP development standards and best practices.

  Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Mandatory experience in SAP Apparel and Footwear Solution (AFS).
  • Experience with ABAP Objects, reports, enhancements, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
  • Knowledge of SAP AFS data structures, article master data, size/color management, and grid functionality.
  • Experience with debugging, performance optimization, interface development, and production support.
  • Understanding of SAP SD and MM business processes and their integration with AFS.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
