Accounts Payable
Fairfax, VA (hybrid)
MUST:
Experienced Accounts Payable
2+ years of experience working in accounting office
Knowledge of A/R, A/P, reconciliations, General Ledgers, Month end closing, billing, payroll, general accounting processes
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, and extensive knowledge of FAR
Experience with UNANET or ADP is preferred
Experience with invoicing and working with Government clients
Strong Microsoft Office experience especially Excel
Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
High attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in account is preferred
DUTIES:
Ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing the Account Payable work for the team
Review invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, enter information into accounting systems and disburse
Ensure weekly check runs
Prepare and process ACH file for approval by Accounting Manager/Controller
Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices for payment
Setup and maintain employees in ADP workforce
Record Credit Card transactions
Ensure all records are kept accurate and are available for internal and external review and Compliance
Analyze expenditure trends and provide reports in timely manner
Ensure costs are allocated in accordance with accounting policies; analyze and report and discrepancies
Setup projects and new hires in Unanet
Assist with the Payroll process by approving timesheets, posting labor in Unanet and importing information in ADP
