Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced
SharePoint Engineer to support a client in modernizing and optimizing their SharePoint Online environment. This role will focus on SharePoint architecture, content migration, governance, and ongoing operational support for business users following migration activities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with
SharePoint Online, migration tools, and PowerShell, along with the ability to support users and improve the overall SharePoint environment.
Duration: Contract
Pay rate: $50-$60/hourly (W2)
Location: 100% Remote Seattle, Washington client
Key Responsibilities- Design and support SharePoint Online site architecture, including hub sites, permissions, and governance structures.
- Build and maintain modern SharePoint pages, document libraries, and metadata structures.
- Lead and support SharePoint migration initiatives, including content restructuring and optimization.
- Utilize migration tools such as ShareGate, Quest, or similar platforms to migrate and organize content.
- Perform permission mapping, cleanup, and access governance across SharePoint environments.
- Provide post-migration operational support, troubleshooting access, synchronization, and performance issues for end users.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure SharePoint environments are structured efficiently and aligned with business needs.
Requirements - Expert-level experience with SharePoint Online.
- Strong experience with SharePoint site architecture, including hub sites, permissions, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate, Quest, or similar.
- Experience restructuring SharePoint content and environments (not just lift-and-shift migrations).
- Experience troubleshooting user access, sync, and performance issues.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation.
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience for SharePoint administration and automation.
- Experience establishing SharePoint governance frameworks and lifecycle management practices.
