Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Compliance Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux, and CI/CD tooling and a proven ability to design, build, and support regulator-ready surveillance and monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based Compliance and Surveillance applications.


• Design, enhance, and support systems for regulatory surveillance and monitoring.


• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues using internal tools and frameworks.


• Coordinate releases, ensure production readiness, and support deployments.


• Maintain and enhance platforms to meet evolving regulatory and compliance requirements.


• Translate business and compliance requirements into technical solutions.


• Create and maintain technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs.


• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Compliance Technology development team.


• Global Compliance and Operational Risk partners.


• Release management and production support teams.


• Distributed onshore and offshore development teams.

Client Interaction:

• No external client interaction.


• Frequent interaction with internal compliance, risk, and technology stakeholders.

• Enhance regulatory surveillance controls to close audit and compliance gaps.


• Develop and maintain Java applications for monitoring and alerting workflows.


• Deliver stable, compliant, and regulator-ready surveillance platforms with improved reliability and supportability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on Core Java development.


• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Java front-end technologies.


• Experience with Java application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, or Tomcat.


• Proficiency with Maven, Git, and Bitbucket.


• Strong CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance experience.


• 3+ years with Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and Autosys job scheduling.


• Solid understanding of SDLC, production support, and release management.


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Compliance, Regulatory, or Trade Surveillance systems.


• Exposure to financial services or capital markets technology.


• Experience supporting production systems in enterprise environments.


• Familiarity with audit response, regulatory change, and compliance-driven development.
