Job Title: Quality Analyst (Testing)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite - Local Candidates Only)
Duration: Contract (Through June 30, 2026, with possible extension)
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Analyst (Tester) to support application testing initiatives for enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing and executing test cases, validating results, and identifying defects across multiple platforms.
This role requires hands-on experience with Java application testing, mainframe environments, and database validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases
- Perform testing for Java-based applications on distributed platforms
- Execute test cases, validate results, and log defects
- Conduct data validation using DB2 and PostgreSQL databases
- Run test programs, update test files, and verify program accuracy
- Utilize JIRA for defect tracking and test management
- Prepare technical and user documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet testing goals and timelines
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes and organizational standards
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in testing Java applications
- Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL databases
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with test case creation, execution, and integration testing
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with JIRA
- Experience with technical and user documentation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Java programming
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Kofax
- Prior experience working with government or labor-related systems
