Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in IBM MQ and Microsoft Azure to support the modernization and upgrade of enterprise messaging infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience upgrading IBM MQ environments, migrating workloads to Azure, designing secure messaging solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available, scalable, and secure integration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
•    Lead the upgrade, migration, and modernization of IBM MQ environments.
•    Design, develop, and maintain enterprise messaging solutions using IBM MQ.
•    Plan and execute IBM MQ upgrades with minimal business disruption.
•    Deploy and manage IBM MQ on Microsoft Azure environments.
•    Develop automation for deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
•    Configure high availability, disaster recovery, clustering, and queue management.
•    Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and messaging issues across distributed systems.
•    Collaborate with application development teams to integrate enterprise applications with IBM MQ.
•    Implement security best practices, including SSL/TLS, authentication, authorization, and certificate management.
•    Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
•    Work closely with DevOps teams to automate deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
•    Perform root cause analysis and provide production support for critical messaging platforms.
•    Document architecture, operational procedures, and technical designs.
Required Skills
•    8+ years of software development and middleware experience.
•    Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ Administration and Development.
•    Experience upgrading IBM MQ (v8/v9 or later).
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
•    Experience deploying IBM MQ in Azure IaaS or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
•    Knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, and Azure Monitor.
•    Experience with Java, Spring Boot, or .NET applications integrating with IBM MQ.
•    Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
•    Experience with REST APIs and messaging integration.
•    Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
•    Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
•    Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
