Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Syndicate / Investment Banking Product Owner to support the development and enhancement of capital markets products within a large-scale investment banking environment. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and product leadership to define requirements, shape product capabilities, and drive delivery of strategic initiatives related to syndicated loans and capital markets platforms.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in capital markets products, strong experience in syndicated loan processes, and the ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and specifications. Exposure to AI or Generative AI-driven solutions within financial services environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, trading desks, and technology teams to define and refine product requirements.

• Shape and document functional requirements, product specifications, and feature lists for capital markets platforms.

• Drive product development initiatives related to syndicated loan products and associated workflows.

• Work directly with investment banking stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

• Translate business needs into actionable product backlogs, user stories, and development priorities.

• Contribute to the development and execution of product roadmaps and strategic initiatives.

• Participate in planning sessions and provide product guidance throughout the development lifecycle.

• Leverage AI / Generative AI-based approaches where applicable to enhance product capabilities and workflows.

• Ensure clear communication between business, product, and technology teams.

• Deliver presentations and product updates to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working with Capital Markets products.

• 5+ years of experience with syndicated loans and related financial products.

• Proven experience shaping product requirements within a large investment banking environment.

• Experience developing product features, specifications, and functional requirements.

• At least 1 year of experience with AI / Generative AI-based solutions or initiatives.

• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including business, product, and technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.

• CFA Level 1 certification or progress toward CFA charter.

• Familiarity with dealing platforms and market data providers used in capital markets environments.

• Experience developing Product Roadmaps and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

• Previous experience working on Investment Banking trading platforms or trading desks (highly preferred but not mandatory).
