IT Project Manager - Data Analytics

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Houston, TX has an opportunity for a highly experienced IT Project Manager specializing in managing AI projects. This is a three-month contract to support a major corporate initiative, with potential for extension and conversion for the right fit. This role is onsite in downtown Houston with eventual ability to work remotely Fridays.

Duties:
* Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
* Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
* Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
* Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
* Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
* Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
* Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
* Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
* Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
* May facilitate the development and management of project budget, projected benefit, and financial impact forecasts, and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other project expenditures to projections
* Develop communication plan to meet project objectives and ensure stakeholder awareness at all appropriate gates and critical decision points, in addition to regular updates
* Publish periodic project status and progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
* Leverage cross-functional relationships with the business and strategic partners for successful completion of project objectives
* Manage large-scale projects spanning multiple years with significant O&M and Capital Budgets with complex dependencies and competing objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
* MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
* PMP or PMI certification
* 8+ years of experience required
* Proven AI project management experience
* People management and team building skills
* Demonstrated ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
* Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
* Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
* Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
* Understanding of AI environments and previous experience managing AI projects
* Demonstrate use cases from past projects and articulate problems solved, challenges handled, and results achieved

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
