Work Mode: Preferred Onsite (Remote possible with travel requirement)
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer with strong experience in SCADA, DMS, and EMS systems within the Power & Utility domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation, configuration, and support of control center solutions for generation, transmission, and distribution utilities.

Pre-Screening Questions (Mandatory)

• Do you have hands-on experience with SCADA/DMS/EMS implementation, configuration, and upgrades?
• Do you have software development experience with C/C++/Java and SQL?
• Have you worked with communication protocols such as IEC 101/104, DNP3, Modbus, or ICCP?

Key Responsibilities

• Execute SCADA/DMS/EMS implementations across utility environments
• Ensure delivery aligns with project scope, timelines, and quality standards
• Support generation, transmission, and distribution system operations

• Design system architecture, database setup, and network modeling
• Configure and test applications such as:
  • Power Flow
  • State Estimation
  • Contingency Analysis
  • Load Forecasting

• Lead system integration activities
• Conduct:
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Commissioning activities
• Ensure system readiness and performance

• Coordinate with engineering, software, and commissioning teams
• Work closely with customer technical teams for smooth execution
• Participate in technical discussions and reviews

• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting
• Maintain system performance, reliability, and stability
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in SCADA/DMS/EMS systems
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as:
  • GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21)
  • GE eTerra
  • Siemens Spectrum Power
  • OSI Monarch (or similar)

• Strong programming experience in:
  • C/C++
  • Java
• Database experience:
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
• Experience with scripting for automation/configuration

• Strong understanding of power systems:
  • Generation
  • Transmission
  • Distribution
• Knowledge of network applications:
  • Power Flow
  • State Estimator
  • Contingency Analysis
  • Load Forecasting

• Experience with communication protocols:
  • IEC 101/104
  • DNP3
  • Modbus
  • ICCP
• Familiarity with:
  • Linux & Windows environments
  • Network security, redundancy, and failover mechanisms

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Soft Skills

• Ability to manage technical discussions and client interactions
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
