Overview:We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician with hands-on experience supporting Windows environments and providing day-to-day technical assistance to end users. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced IT setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot issues involving operating systems, connectivity, software, and peripherals.
- Perform user account administration in Active Directory, including password resets, account unlocks, and basic permissions management.
- Set up and configure new hire equipment, including imaging machines, installing required applications, and performing initial system configurations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tickets, resolutions, and asset information.
- Assist with basic network and printer troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Required Skills & Experience:- 2+ years of IT experience providing hands-on Windows support.
- Proficiency with Active Directory for routine account management tasks.
- Experience with machine imaging, software installations, and new-hire workstation setup.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Understanding of Office 365 and common enterprise applications.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southfield, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
