Position: Mechanical Engineer – Hydraulic Systems
Location: Longmont, CO – Remote
Experience: 5+ years

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize steam valve hydraulic actuators for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
  • Design and develop Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), including pumps, valves, reservoirs, and related components.
  • Design and integrate hydraulic manifolds, valves, and trip manifold assemblies (TMA).
  • Integrate hydraulic systems, actuators, instrumentation, and control system elements.
  • Perform mechanical design calculations, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams through design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and IEC.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with steam valve actuators, hydraulic systems, HPUs, manifolds, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic control systems and mechanical actuation.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 2D/3D CAD tools.
  • Experience with instrumentation such as pressure sensors, flow meters, and temperature transmitters.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure systems, and mechanical design.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in oil & gas, power generation, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with advanced control systems and hydraulic/mechanical integration.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic system testing and performance validation.
