Director of Enterprise Applications
Location: Kissimmee, FL (Primarily Onsite)
Salary Range: $118,000 - $140,000
SNI Technology has partnered with a well-established organization in the Kissimmee area to hire a Director of Enterprise Applications. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering excellent benefits, strong leadership visibility, and long-term career growth.
The organization is seeking an experienced technology leader who can oversee enterprise applications, data platforms, and application governance across the organization. This position requires someone who can balance hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership, managing a small team while remaining actively involved in system architecture, database performance, reporting solutions, and operational improvements.
The ideal candidate will bring experience working with SQL-based environments, reporting platforms such as Power BI, and cloud technologies including Azure, along with a strong understanding of IT governance and application lifecycle management. The systems supported by this role serve a large external user population exceeding 100,000 users, making scalability, reliability, and data integrity essential.
This leader will mentor technical staff, help shape technology strategy, and ensure applications align with organizational goals while maintaining high standards for security, performance, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for enterprise applications including planning, development, deployment, and ongoing support.
Manage and mentor a team of application specialists and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Experience leading teams of 4-5 or more is preferred.
Maintain hands-on involvement with SQL databases and data architecture, ensuring efficient design, performance optimization, and strong data governance.
Guide application lifecycle management including development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
Implement and maintain IT governance frameworks, technology standards, and operational best practices related to application management and data security.
Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure applications meet operational requirements and support business objectives.
Monitor application and database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements that enhance reliability and user experience.
Support reporting and analytics initiatives through platforms such as Power BI, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Lead technology initiatives and application projects from planning through completion, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, and delivery oversight.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise applications, database management, or related information technology roles.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams while remaining hands-on with systems and data platforms.
Strong expertise working with SQL databases, database design, and performance optimization.
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting platforms.
Exposure to Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud technologies.
Understanding of IT governance, security standards, and application management best practices.
Experience supporting systems with large-scale external users or customer-facing platforms is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent experience or technical training may be considered.
