Title: Batch Support Analyst

Overview
The Batch Support Analyst is responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and optimizing automated batch processes that support critical business operations. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and accuracy of batch jobs, proactively addresses failures, and collaborates with IT and business teams to implement improvements. The analyst leverages automation tools, scripting, and strong troubleshooting skills to maintain seamless batch operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, create, update, and delete batch jobs using enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, MFT, Oracle Utilities Application Framework) and appropriate shell scripts.
- Support Batch support teams as the expert in batch processing and scheduling in support of running the business processes making yourself available as part of an on-call rotation with 24x7 availability.
- Diagnose and resolve batch job issues, including failures and delays, using logs and automation tools.
- Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with C2M Development Team, C2M TechArch Team, and Center of Excellence to ensure seamless batch operations and respond to business needs and priorities.
- Monitor batch processing schedules and workflows, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all scheduled jobs, and optimizing performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of batch processes, schedules, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on batch processing performance, incidents, and key metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Proficiency in using batch scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M and MFT) to create, schedule, modify, and execute workflows.
- Familiarity with modern programming or scripting language
- Experience with monitoring tools and incident management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.E
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Utilities C2M and WAM applications, or experience with electric utilities.
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework or similar enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL.
- Familiarity with software development and a modern programming language like C# or Java.
- ITIL or relevant process improvement certifications.
- Usage of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
