Job Title: Payment Consultant / Payments Business Analyst / Payment Systems Analyst / Digital Payments Consultant Location: Tulsa OK (Onsite) Duration: Long Term
Your deliverables as a Payment Subject Matter Expert (SME) will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Interact with clients consultatively to determine payment system requirements, business processes, and implementation needs.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for payment processing solutions, including ACH, Wire Transfers, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, SEPA, and related payment operations.
Establish and/or assist clients with configuring payment system parameters, controls, workflows, settlement rules, exception handling, and operational processes based on business requirements and industry best practices.
Review payment solution configurations with clients and obtain formal acceptance.
Conduct data analysis, data mapping, and payment file format mapping activities (NACHA, ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, BAI2, etc.) as applicable.
Analyze source data files and map data to target payment applications for use by technical teams during development and implementation.
Provide on-site or remote support during payment platform implementations, migrations, and client conversions.
Test and troubleshoot payment system configurations, integrations, interfaces, and functionality.
Validate payment transaction processing, settlement workflows, reporting, connectivity, and downstream integrations.
Identify, research, and assist in resolving payment processing issues in collaboration with technical resources and stakeholders.
Facilitate client validation sessions and user acceptance testing (UAT) for payment solutions.
Assess and report project risks related to payment operations, compliance, integrations, and implementation activities, and participate in mitigation planning.
Communicate project scope, status, milestones, and risks to clients and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with applicable payment regulations, industry standards, and network rules, including NACHA, Fed, SWIFT, ISO 20022, and other relevant frameworks.
Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project-related activities.
Follow established project management methodologies, departmental procedures, company standards, and quality controls.
Manage assigned payment implementation projects through completion, ensuring successful transition to support and operations teams.
Complete post-implementation reviews, stabilization activities, and client handoff tasks in a timely manner.
Maintain and update internal documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
Provide payment domain expertise to internal teams including Sales, Product Management, Development, Support, Training, Professional Services, and Client Success.
Participate in the development of implementation methodologies, payment process documentation, and training materials.
Conduct software training and payment operations workshops for clients and internal staff.
Support payment modernization initiatives, payment hub implementations, and strategic transformation programs.
Act as a trusted advisor on payment industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging payment technologies.
