Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our Operations team. This person will play a crucial role in the overall success of our operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and optimal performance across all aspects of our engineering department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Lean Manufacturing, Change Management, Capacity Planning, Resource Planning, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive operational strategies that align with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee Change Management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Manage Capacity and Resource Planning, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Apply knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles to improve processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO Standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and manage interdependencies.
  • Drive the development and achievement of key performance indicators and operational targets.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, and manage issue resolution.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer focus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an operations leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Change Management, Capacity Planning, Resource Planning and People Management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams. Specifically, Management of other Leaders in an organization.
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO standards will be a plus, along with knowledge of ITAR compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative and creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the engineering industry.
