Systems Engineer

job summary:

Assists with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating the activities required for launch and ongoing support

Advocates for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements

responsibilities:

• Proven technical background with Linux, Oracle databases, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices
• A proven grasp of AWS! Certification is a plus.
• You have a good understanding of Snowflake. Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
• Experience with batch scheduling software (e.g. Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing
• Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
• Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tool - debugging and addressing failures.
• Experience with automated deployment tools & techniques (e.g. Jenkins)
• Familiarity with event driven architecture (e.g. Apache Kafka)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
• Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation.
• Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS, routing) (F5 or AVI experience a plus)
