Job Description
ECS is seeking a Communication Specialist to work in our Windsor Mill office.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as the central coordinating and communications component for cybersecurity and privacy operational teams.
Serve as primary component for assessment and dispositioning of inbound requests for services and support provided by the contract staff.
Maintain situational awareness, coordination, collaboration, and communication oversight for various federal support teams and system groups.
Ensures that each of the associated stakeholders and supporting staff are provided with timely, relevant, and accurate information.
Works with stakeholders and support staff to organize the collection and utilization of information necessary to take security actions required by NIST and FISMA standards.
Serve as a leader and coordinator during bridge calls between cybersecurity, privacy, federal customers, business associates and supporting staff.
Complete and manage email, phone, and instant messaging correspondence in a timely and autonomous manner.
Salary Range: $76,800.00 - $93,899.00

Required Skills
Job Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in case management, task tracking, program analytics, investigative, healthcare administration, information technology, federal/state contracting, or other operations environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Critical thinking and application of judgement in a process-based workflow.
Ability to organize priorities based on criticality, urgency, and varied reporting groups.
Ability to work independently as well as part of large and small teams.
Ability to schedule, host, organize and lead virtual meetings and bridge calls with audiences of 3-50 individuals. Drive the discussion and collection of necessary information while managing conflict and difficult situations.
Ability to summarize events, actions, and steps taken based on inputs from technical teams for delivery to executive audiences.
Ability to work directly with federal customers to accept requests, produce information, and coordinate tasks for technical support teams.
Ability to communicate professionally to varied audiences via email, phone, and instant messaging.
Basic understanding of task workflows in relationship to reporting, areas of responsibility, and authority.
Desired Skills
Certifications/Licenses:
Security+, A+ certifications preferred
Additional Experience Preferred:
Basic understanding of HIPPA and data privacy concepts
Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA
Customer service or support background
Familiarity with basic cybersecurity policies and procedures such as NIST and FISMA
Leadership experience
Technical or procedural writing experience
Experience working for a state or federal government agency as a contracted employee
