DevOps Engineer

Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to strengthen our infrastructure and platform capabilities in Dallas, Texas. This position focuses on building dependable, secure, and scalable cloud operations while advancing automation and delivery practices across engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with production cloud environments, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines, along with a practical approach to reliability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
Maintain the stability, availability, and protection of cloud-based systems that support critical business applications.
Create, refine, and manage automated build and deployment workflows using modern CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
Develop and administer infrastructure through code-based provisioning with tools including Terraform and CloudFormation.
Design and support scalable AWS architectures spanning compute, containers, serverless services, databases, storage, and core networking components.
Investigate production incidents across application and infrastructure layers, identify root causes, and restore service efficiently.
Establish effective monitoring, centralized logging, and alerting to improve visibility into platform health and system behavior.
Improve platform resilience, performance, and cloud spend through ongoing optimization and preventative engineering practices.
Partner in disaster recovery planning, testing, and readiness activities to strengthen business continuity.
Support security and compliance initiatives by applying best practices, identifying operational risks, and implementing corrective measures.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical role.
Strong practical experience working with AWS in production environments.
Proven ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and operational tooling.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, Kubernetes, cloud security principles, and system hardening practices.
Experience with observability, incident response, and operational monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Familiarity with tools and practices such as Docker, Ansible, blue/green deployments, canary releases, or automated security scanning is a plus.
