Senior Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with routing, switching, firewalls, network security, and cloud networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP environments.
• Configure routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Implement and maintain network security and firewall policies.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Work with Cisco and other enterprise networking technologies.
• Support wireless networking and remote connectivity solutions.
• Implement network monitoring and resolve incidents within SLA.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, systems, and application teams.
• Participate in network disaster recovery and business continuity activities.

Required Skills

• 8–10+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/Firepower.
• Experience with network security and access control.
• Knowledge of NAT, ACLs, IPsec, SSL VPN, and load balancing.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong knowledge of IPv4/IPv6.
• Experience with network automation using Python or Ansible is a plus.
• Good understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies.

Cloud & Modern Networking

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform networking.
• Knowledge of VPC/VNet, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and VPN/Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
• Experience with SD-WAN and cloud connectivity is a plus.
• Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent networking certification.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Azure networking certification.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SDN, and data center technologies.
• Experience with Zero Trust, SASE, and modern network security architectures.
• Experience working in large enterprise or multi-data-center environments.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise change management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
