Summary

Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure and cloud migration initiatives for a long-term contract engagement. This role will guide planning, coordination, governance, and delivery across technology, business, and vendor teams while helping ensure a smooth transition of file storage and hosted applications to cloud-based environments. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires a proactive leader who can keep stakeholders aligned, manage execution risks, and support critical migration activities with minimal disruption to operations.

Responsibilities:

Direct end-to-end project delivery by managing scope, timeline, budget, resource planning, quality expectations, dependencies, and final outcomes throughout the engagement.

Build and maintain comprehensive project roadmaps, milestone schedules, governance routines, issue tracking, and leadership updates to support informed decision-making.

Collaborate closely with executive sponsors, business partners, technical teams, and external vendors to establish shared priorities, clarify objectives, and confirm measures of success.

Lead resolution of project risks, action items, open issues, and key decisions by evaluating impacts and recommending effective next steps.

Prepare concise status reporting and presentations tailored to executive, operational, and technical audiences.

Oversee migration planning activities including discovery, inventory review, readiness assessment, sequencing, testing coordination, cutover preparation, validation, and transition support.

Coordinate the movement of home drives, shared file repositories, and hosted applications to approved cloud platforms while accounting for integrations, dependencies, and business readiness.

Manage stakeholder communication, training support, adoption planning, vendor coordination, and cross-functional working sessions to promote successful implementation and operational handoff.

Interested candidates should contact Sally Lander at or sally.lander@roberthalf.(com).

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure project delivery, including work in IT, security, or enterprise technology environments.
Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle technology initiatives that involve technical execution, business process impacts, and user adoption considerations.
Strong background working with senior leaders, engineers, vendors, and end users in cross-functional delivery settings.
Effective facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-management skills with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-facing reporting, documentation, and presentations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and standard project documentation platforms.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution, or an associate degree combined with substantial additional relevant experience.
Experience with cloud migration, enterprise infrastructure, network or data center environments, and public sector or county government settings is highly valued.
