Job Description

Job Summary:
As an assistant staff engineer, geologist or scientist, you will provide field and office support for environmental sampling programs, manage data using a variety of software tools, prepare and review technical reports, and support remediation and construction projects at refineries and other petroleum or industrial sites under regulatory orders.

This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of task management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with career growth potential, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Groundwater and soil sampling.
  • Remediation system operation and maintenance.
  • Construction oversight.
  • QA/QC and data management.
  • Refinery office support (report production, mailings, data analysis).
  • Environmental task coordination.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Competitive academic GPA.
  • Problem-solving excellence, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel (familiarity with other Microsoft Office programs is a bonus).
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including technical writing, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Good employment or academic history with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing high-quality project deliverables on schedule.
  • Ability to work reliably in teams as well as independently.
  • Ability to travel, up to 50 percent, to client sites and other Trihydro offices.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing client site-access drug tests.

Performance Metrics:
Assistant Staff Professionals will be evaluated on the following key performance areas during their first year:
