Position: R Programmer/Python- Open Position-CA
Type: contract
Duration: 12 months
Location: Pasadena, CA
Responsibilities:
Candidates with Research background and experience in and R Programming with Python.
Some exposure to Databricks will be an advantage
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years data management experience with , SQL, R or other similar analytical programming language.
- Minimum five (5) years experience programming with , SQL, R or other similar analytical programming language.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field and Minimum five (5) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years experience working with Open Source Tools (e g , R, Python).
- Three (3) years experience working with SAS.
- Three (3) years statistical modeling experience.
- Three (3) years health or medical research experience.
- Three (3) years experience programming in SQL.
- Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
Performs analysis, designing, coding, testing, documenting, implementing and maintenance tasks for complex requests and project impacts. 30% Participates on project teams with business users and other analyst/programmers.
Assists in problem definition and resolution activities. May develop solution outlines. May be responsible for creating and monitoring project plans and schedules on small to mid-size projects. 20% Rotates on-call coverage with other team members. Troubleshoots and resolves production problems. Documents and communicates problem resolution to team members. 20% Completes assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains and reports status on assigned tasks on a regular basis. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. Assists in training other programmer/analysts and may review their work. 20% Interacts with customers to define, clarify and interpret system requirements for complex applications enhancements and projects. Responsible for implementing system development projects and work requests
