Job#: 3026892 Job Description: Apex Systems is seeking a VDI Engineer who designs, implements, and maintains virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions using VMware products. This position is on-site in Alexandria, VA.

- Designing and configuring VDI environments using VMware Horizon, vSphere, and other VMware tools.
- Installing, updating, and troubleshooting VDI components, such as virtual machines, desktop pools, application packages, and security policies.
- Monitoring and optimizing VDI performance, availability, and capacity.
- Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff on VDI-related issues.
- Documenting VDI processes, procedures, and best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience in administering and managing VMware products, such as vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.
- Knowledge of VDI concepts, architectures, and protocols, such as PCoIP, Blast, and RDP.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and network technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Certification in VMware VDI, such as VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Desktop and Mobility Design (VCAP-DTM Design).
