Description
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support operational and technology-focused initiatives within a healthcare service environment in Westlake, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who can translate business needs into practical solutions, work comfortably with data and documentation, and collaborate across teams to improve claims and payment-related processes. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical judgment, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business needs related to healthcare claims, payment workflows, and service operations.
Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process gaps, clarify requirements, and recommend effective system or workflow improvements.
Review business and system documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational goals.
Use data sources and reporting tools to investigate issues, validate findings, and support decision-making.
Contribute to Agile-based project activities, including requirements refinement, backlog support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Perform gap analysis to compare current processes with desired outcomes and help define actionable solutions.
Support issue resolution by evaluating root causes, prioritizing business needs, and coordinating with relevant teams.
Maintain organized records, status updates, and communications while balancing changing priorities and deadlines.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a business analysis or closely related role.
At least 5 years of healthcare industry experience supporting providers, payers, or claims and payment processing functions.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience using organizational databases; familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports is a plus.
Demonstrated strength in analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience; exposure to Agile approaches such as Scrum is preferred.
