The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a premier financial institution to identify a Senior Java Integration Developer for an impactful, 6–18 month hybrid engagement in Buffalo, NY. In this high-visibility position, you will drive the architecture and implementation of scalable digital connectivity layers, connecting complex enterprise systems using modern middleware solutions and cloud environments. StaffRight Associates is managing all candidate sourcing and evaluation for this critical technical initiative.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and launch enterprise-grade integration capabilities utilizing core Java and Spring Boot to solve complex operational challenges.

• Construct robust RESTful APIs and high-throughput microservices designed to link disparate enterprise platforms seamlessly.

• Champion the implementation of secure cloud infrastructure components, including Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Managed Identities.

• Guide and elevate junior engineering talent through technical mentorship and code review standards.

• Synthesize technical architecture blueprints and systemic workflows to maintain clear system integration documentation.

• Enforce advanced security standards, including OAuth 2.0 identity patterns and end-to-end data transmission security across API endpoints.

• Execute rigorous quality assurance through automated unit testing, system debugging, and continuous performance optimization.

• Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders and technology leadership throughout the full application engineering lifecycle.

• Maximize platform stability and efficiency using enterprise telemetry and Azure Application Insights diagnostic monitoring solutions.

• Evaluate emerging integration frameworks to continuously refine software engineering standards.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of hands-on experience in Systems Analysis and Application Development with deep technical mastery of Java.

• Advanced expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Concurrency Patterns.

• Proven track record delivering robust software via Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern Build Automation tools.

• Practical experience utilizing Azure Cloud Services, including Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Azure Managed Identities, and enterprise platform monitoring capabilities.

• Direct proficiency with HTTP Client Libraries, security protocols including OAuth 2.0, and advanced application error-handling strategies.

• Solid experience leveraging automated testing frameworks under Test-Driven Development methodologies.

• Superior analytical problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to execute independently on high-complexity initiatives.

• Outstanding communication capabilities to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Total Rewards

• Baseline compensation rate of $75 - $80 per hour (W-2 contract).
