Network Security Engineer

Title: Senior Network Security Engineer (Palo Alto, Cisco ISE & SD-WAN)
Type: Contract, 13 months | Hybrid
Location: Frisco, TX. Onsite 2 3 days a week at the Addison (Dallas) office. Dallas-area candidates preferred.

About the Role
This role focuses on securing and tuning a complex network environment, from SD-WAN and QoS on the WAN side to Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ISE for access control. You'll split your time between hands-on configuration and advisory work, and you'll help build up the project team's capabilities along the way.

What You'll Do

• Offer strategic direction while also doing technical configuration and build work yourself when needed
• Recommend proven, industry-aligned solutions, and propose unconventional alternatives when the standard approach doesn't fit
• Support data conversion efforts and ongoing data maintenance
• Map out and document process flows
• Act as lead author, co-author, or contributor on all deliverables within your areas of ownership
• Coach project team members and hand off knowledge so they can own the environment
• Work as an embedded member of the functional team, taking on additional tasks as priorities shift

Must-Have

• Deep, proven expertise in WAN technologies, especially SD-WAN and QoS
• Palo Alto: Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Distributed User-ID
• Cisco ISE: 802.1X, TACACS+, IoT, and Guest access

Also Expected: advanced hands-on experience with

• F5 configuration and troubleshooting
• VeloCloud SD-WAN
• Cisco ASA, including VPN implementation
• Cisco switches, routers, and wireless
