Job Title: Benefits Configuration Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Benefits Configuration Specialist to handle configuration, validation, and maintenance of benefits platforms for US employers. This role focuses on onboarding, building, and ensuring compliance with US benefits regulations (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA). Ideal for candidates with experience in benefits admin software like ADP, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Benefit focus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure benefits platforms (health, dental, vision, retirement) based on client requirements, eligibility rules, contributions, tiers, and effective dates.
* Validate builds using checklists and rubrics to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance; identify gaps, risks, and assumptions.
* Facilitate onboarding discovery calls – gather requirements, document gaps/red flags, and produce readiness summaries for handoff.
* Perform build readiness reviews – confirm inputs (docs, decisions) are sufficient before platform setup.
* Handle fundamentals like eligibility, proration, composite/age-banded rating, and discrepancy resolution.
* Support enrollment processes and collaborate with HR/payroll teams for US‑specific compliance.
Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years in benefits configuration/admin for US platforms (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Benefit focus, BambooHR).
* Strong knowledge of US benefits basics (ACA compliance, eligibility, contributions, COBRA).
* Experience with platform builds, validation, and documentation using templates/checklists.
* Excellent analytical skills for gap detection and risk handling.
* Bachelor''s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with benefits fundamentals quiz topics (tiers, dependents, effective dates).
* Tools: Excel, HRIS systems, benefits admin software.
* Ability to work with structured scripts and timeboxed exercises.
