Role: Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: San Ramon, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months contract

Job description:

Seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Consultant with strong EPM Cloud expertise. This role involves supporting and enhancing Oracle EPM solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, and leading techno-functional activities across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for Oracle EPM solutions and act as a techno-functional lead.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and functional issues; perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
Gather requirements, conduct FIT-GAP analysis, and prepare functional and technical specifications.
Configure and build EPM applications, including forms, business rules, and reports for enhancements.
Perform testing, validation, and support production deployment and cutover activities.
Collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate business needs into system solutions.
Design metadata, data integrations, and calculation scripts for Planning and Consolidation.
Develop and maintain data integration processes with ERP systems.
Configure security, workflows, and reporting structures.
Perform system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Develop business rules and Groovy scripts.
Provide guidance on best practices, governance, and compliance for financial processes.
Communicate effectively with technical, business, and management teams.
Lead support engagements and coordinate with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in Oracle EPM Cloud development and support.
Experience with at least 2 end-to-end implementations in FCCS and EPBCS.
Strong functional knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting.
Hands-on experience with data integration, metadata design, and calculation scripting.
Experience with EPM security, workflows, and reporting configurations.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ARCS is a plus.
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
Experience mentoring junior team members and coordinating with offshore teams.
Prior experience managing small teams (4–5 members) is a plus.
Experience working in global delivery environments.
Accounting background or CPA qualification preferred.
