Job Summary
- Manage and maintain the university's Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
- Administer services supporting Oracle SaaS platforms such as HCM, Financials, SCM, EPM, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP).
- Ensure system stability and optimize the performance of OCI environments.
- Oversee system upgrades, patch management, and quarterly Oracle Cloud updates.
- Coordinate and perform environment refreshes and support business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement and maintain OCI resource tagging, quotas, and cost tracking.
- Monitor performance metrics, logs, and alarms to ensure environment health and security.
- Manage data archival strategies, storage usage, and retention policies.
- Collaborate with security, database, and application support teams to ensure reliable and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Provide knowledge transfer and occasional training to technical team members.
- Stay current with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tools, capabilities, and roadmap updates.
- Recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Adhere to and promote a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture within the IT Services team.
- Support and uphold organizational standards and compliance requirements related to cloud infrastructure.
