Senior Cloud Database Engineer

Introduction:

The Senior Cloud Database Engineer will play a crucial role in data engineering within a native cloud environment. This position requires expertise in Oracle, ETL, Python, Snowflake, AWS, Postgres, and DynamoDB. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS architecture and leveraging AWS services to optimize database performance.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud database solutions using Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres, and DynamoDB
Develop ETL processes using Python to ensure efficient data transfer and transformation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with platform and databases
Optimize database performance and scalability in a cloud environment
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
Implement database security best practices to protect sensitive data
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in cloud database engineering

Requirements:

Required Skills:

Proven experience with Oracle, ETL, Python, Snowflake, AWS, Postgres, and DynamoDB
Strong knowledge of PL/SQL for data manipulation and querying
Experience in developing ETL processes using Python
Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Java for API integrations
Familiarity with Lambda functions and scripting in AWS
Certifications in cloud database technologies
Experience in optimizing database performance in a cloud environment
