ServiceNow Developer with expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) --Charlotte NC(Onsite)(Hybrid)

Work Location:  Charlotte NC(Onsite)(Hybrid)

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) to design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and portfolio management needs. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and technical teams to implement scalable solutions across ServiceNow SPM modules.

 

Key Responsibilities

·Design, configure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow SPM applications and solutions.

·Implement and support SPM modules, including:

o   Demand Management

o   Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

o   Resource Management

o   Strategic Planning

o   Financial Management

o   Innovation Management

o   Agile Development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), where applicable

·Translate business requirements into technical designs and ServiceNow solutions.

·Develop custom applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, and integrations.

·Configure forms, tables, modules, reports, dashboards, notifications, and access controls.

·Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other integration technologies.

·Develop and manage data imports, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and migration activities.

·Customize and extend ServiceNow applications while following platform best practices and upgrade-safe methodologies.

·Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to improve portfolio, resource, demand, and financial management processes.

·Troubleshoot, test, debug, and resolve technical issues.

·Perform unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing.

·Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, releases, deployments, and performance optimization.

·Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and support materials.

·Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.

·Ensure compliance with ServiceNow governance, security, coding, and development standards.

 

Required Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·3–7 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.

·Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM/PPM).

·Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and application development.

·Experience with:

o   JavaScript

o   Glide APIs

o   Business Rules

o   Client Scripts

o   Script Includes

o   UI Policies and UI Actions

o   Workflows and Flow Designer

o   ACLs and security configuration

o   Reports and dashboards

o   Service Catalog and custom applications

·Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, or MID Server.

·Knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, Agile, or other ServiceNow product areas.

·Familiarity with ServiceNow development tools, update sets, source control, and deployment processes.

·Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.

·ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.

·ServiceNow SPM or PPM implementation experience.

·Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management.

·Experience with Agile Development 2.0, SAFe, or Project Management methodologies.

·Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics.

·Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, SQL, JSON, XML, and web services.

·Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

·Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.

·Experience with enterprise tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Microsoft Project.
