Summary

This client is hiring a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer in Boston, MA (4 days onsite) to join a global investment management firm building software that powers critical financial systems. This is a long-term contract with strong visibility across enterprise applications and global stakeholders.

This is a high-impact role where you'll drive testing strategy while leading offshore QA teams in a fast-paced environment. You'll be hands-on with Java-based automation, BDD/Gherkin, and AI-driven testing tools to improve quality and efficiency across key platforms.

What they're looking for:
Strong experience in QA and software testing
Expertise with Java-based testing frameworks
Hands-on experience with BDD and Gherkin
Experience leading offshore teams across time zones
Experience using AI tools in testing/automation workflows
Strong monitoring and security awareness

Nice to have:
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience mentoring junior QA engineers
Background in investment or trading systems

What you'll be doing:
50% Automated testing (Java BDD frameworks + AI tools)
25% CI/CD and integration support
15% Test strategy and leadership
10% Manual testing and validation

Day-to-day:
60% hands-on
20% management responsibilities
20% team collaboration
